The MaXi Family

The MaXi family is a network of volunteers and climbing gyms in Switzerland, that brings asylum seekers and the local climbing community together.

During our bouldering sessions, the participants work off their energy in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, make new contacts and use their newly acquired German and French language skills. At the same time, the positive effects of the sport unfold. Self-confidence is strengthened, problem-solving skills are trained and physical and mental health is fostered.

Currently we are active in 14 cities all over Switzerland.

maxiMiNimum in Zurich

Our maxiMiNimum sessions take place at Minimum Bouldering Gym (Flüela) in Zurich every Sunday from 13:00 to 15:00.
